What is the occasion of this picture on your back cover?
On my way to chaperone a school prom I thought it would be fun to arrive at the event in a bus. For explanation of that bus, see chapter one in book.
What made you write this book?
In the fall of 2007 I suddenly realized my niceness was not what God wanted in my life. It had caused problems. I struggled as a "nice" teacher. In other areas of my life my brand of niceness just didn't work. Shouldn't Christians be nice? My journey takes the reader on how I learned to make sense of my faith and give God the glory.   

How did you acquire again that Swedish heirloom in chapter three?
Genie Publishing gave me the opportunity to add black and white pictures in my book. The picture that I wanted to use for the beginning of chapter three had a glare. I set out to see if a better picture could be taken when my friend  visited that church. However no one could find the picture and so I didn't get a better picture for the book. Until. . . . months later the framed heirloom was discovered. The frame had been nicked but the church decided to mail my treasure back since it wasn't being used. Minus the nicked frame and the glass, it was mailed back in a tube. Here it is on our pool table so you see how large it is.
 A little piece of my heart, with Swedish lettering, has returned! So thoughtful of that church after over twenty years.
